Here’s Helen’s story. She was married to a real louse and they had two beautiful children. She would have left him, but she worried about her kids. He left her one day, and with no thoughts as to what would happen to the children. Helen, stunned by his walking out, searched for pity from her friends. None of them gave her any. In fact, they unanimously agreed that she was better off without him.

But Helen began to worry about life without “a man” to protect her and pay the bills, although her husband hadn’t helped much with either. She became ill, her mother took in the children, and her doctor ordered her into the hospital. There, on the operating table, the surgeons found that Helen had seven cancerous tumors. They sewed her back up and told her that she had six months to live.

Helen spent about a day feeling sorry for herself, when suddenly she remembered how much she loved her children and how much they needed her. She remembered her loathsome husband, and then she became determined. She’d show him and the world that she was strong enough to go it alone, and to hell with any man. In three days she dismissed herself from the hospital, moved to a new town, took a steady job, and began an entirely new life.

When the six months were up, she wasn’t dead. When a year was up she went back to see her doctor. He ran some tests. All the cancers had disappeared! Her body was clean and healthy.

A friend asked her what did she do. She said she got out of that hospital bed, looked at herself in the mirror and she spoke to her subconscious, “Okay, let’s cut this out. I have no intention of dying. My children need me and I have a full life ahead. I don’t know how those cancers got in there, but you do. So get rid of them the same way you built them up!”

She was repeating the process several times a day, every day, for a while and then she forgot all about it because she knew that her subconscious mind would take care of it, and it did.

This inspiring story is from a woman who attended lectures by Neville Goddard, some 50 plus years ago, on the topic that imagination creates reality:

 ”At the time this wonderful thing happened to me I was out of a job and had no family to fall back upon for support. I needed just about everything. To find a decent job I needed a car to look for it, and though I had a car it was so worn out it was ready to fall apart. I was behind in my rent; I had no proper clothes to seek a job; and it’s no fun for a woman of fifty-five to apply for a job of any kind. My bank account was almost depleted and there was no friend to whom I could turn.

“But I had been attending Neville Goddard’s lectures for almost a year and my desperation forced me to put my imagination to the test. Indeed, I had nothing to lose. It was natural for me, I suppose, to begin by imagining myself having everything I needed. But I needed so many things and in such short order that I found myself exhausted when I finally got through the list, and by that time I was so nervous I could not sleep.

“One lecture night I heard Neville Goddard tell of an artist who captured the ‘feeling” of “isn’t it wonderful!” in his personal experience. I began to apply this idea to my case. Instead of thinking of an imagining every article I needed, I tried to capture the “feeling” that something wonderful was happening to me not tomorrow, not next week – but right now. I would say over and over to myself as I fell asleep, “Isn’t it wonderful!” Something marvelous is happening to me now! And as I fell asleep I would feel the way I would expect to feel under such circumstances.

“I repeated that imaginary action and feeling for two months, night after night, and one day in early October I met a casual friend I hadn’t seen for months who informed me he was about to leave on a trip to New York. I had lived in New York many years ago and we talked of the city a few moments and then parted. I completely forgot the incident.

“One month later, to the day, this man called at my apartment and simply handed me a certified check in my name for twenty-five hundred dollars. After I got over the initial shock of seeing my name on a check for so much money, the story that unfolded seemed to me like a dream. It concerned a friend I had not seen nor heard from in more than 25 years.

“This friend of my past, I now learned, had become extremely wealthy in those 25 years. Our mutual acquaintance who had brought the check to me had met him quite by accident during the trip to new York last month. During their conversation they spoke of me, and for reasons I was not to know (for to this day I have not heard from him personally and have never attempted to contact him) this old friend decided to share a portion of his great wealth with me.

“For the next two years, from the office of his attorney, I received monthly checks so generous in amount they not only covered every necessary requirement of daily living, but left much over for all the lovely things of life: a car, clothes, a spacious apartment and best of all, no need to earn my daily bread.

“This past month I received a letter and some legal papers to be signed which provide the continuation of this monthly income for the rest of my natural life.”

Sang asks “Is it true that once you get to theta or delta state you get faster, even instant, results?”

You’ll get instant results in whatever state you are, when you have no inner obstacles.  You are constantly experiencing in your outer world the effects of your thoughts and emotions.  The more time you invest in clearing your mind, the more will you have experiences where you are experiencing instant manifestation of any thoughts that you’re thinking.

You may find yourself knowing what other people are thinking or other people may be voicing the thoughts you are thinking.  While this may appear to be a “supernatural ability” – it is not – there is only one mind, and by clearing your mind, you are simply clearing the obstacles – these inner obstacles are like clouds that are preventing you to experience the sunshine, which has been there all along.

When you turn your attention toward your subjective (inner) experience, you are beginning to enter the alpha level.  The deeper you immerse yourself in your inner experience, the deeper level you enter, and during self-hypnosis you’re likely to be either in lighter or deper theta level.  When you’re dreaming you’re also going to be in lighter or deeper theta level.

In delta level your mind is free of any thought, and if you are an average person, you’ll be deeply asleep.  If you are a spiritual adept, and you have trained yourself to remain awake as you enter deeper levels of the mind, you may be experiencing pure consciousness in delta level – a state you may experience if you practice focusing on the gap between the thoughts, on total silence, where there is not even a ripple of thoughts in your mind.

If you are practicing self-hypnosis, you don’t have to worry in which state of mind you are.  You will naturally get into a state of mind that is most appropriate for you to be in, according to your current level of ability.  All you need to do is to be able to subjectively experience your desired outcome as if it were real for you now.

And if you really want to practice getting overall faster results, you can engage in any kind of meditative practice which helps you to purify your mind.  You can take some time each day and simply meditate on the inner light, for example.  If any thought arises in your mind, just imagine it dissolving into the light.  In time, you’ll discover that whatever you think is manifesting faster and faster and one moment you’ll be thinking about something, another moment you’ll experience it manifested in your life.

It works the same with any other experience in our lives.  If we haven’t been in a particular situation before, it’s likely that it’s not going to play out perfectly, so we practice until we master it.  The great thing about hypnosis is that we can experiment and practice rehearsing situations in our minds before we test them out in real life.
