How to eliminate bad thoughts from playing out in your mind?

Gary writes, “Some bad thoughts occasionally cross my mind, because it’s almost impossible to eliminate every bad thought even if you tried. Would that hinder my progress a lot, because when a bad thoughts crosses my mind I autosuggest to myself by telling my self it’s not true. Would this really slow my progress down?”

You are absolutely right. It is impossible to eliminate bad thoughts, especially if you are focusing on trying to eliminate bad thoughts.   However, it is entirely possible to completely eliminate bad thoughts if you invest conscious effort to think good thoughts.  All that you do is pick an empowering word or phrase and repeat it throughout the day – all the time – and soon, you’ll discover that it will become a habit – because when you are not consciously thinking your mind is simply replaying your habitual thoughts.

I assume here that by “bad thoughts” you are referring to the thoughts which are the opposite of what you’d like to experience – some people call them “negative thoughts” or “disempowering thoughts”, and since we tend to experience our predominant thoughts, when you have conflicting thoughts, your energy is getting split, and it’s like putting a break on the realization of your goals.  Conflicting thoughts are what introduces the element of time.  If you had no conflicting thoughts, no inner obstacles, what you desire to experience would happen instantly.
